This is what the other guy does: leaves the site unsafe, and the bottom of the gate isn’t even level!
I’m not sure how you’re supposed to use the tap—they couldn’t even fix that properly!
If the concrete isn’t level, they just chuck a wedge under it. No need to trim it off, apparently!
At least they used galvanised steel posts. It’s just a shame they couldn’t put two fixings per rail to help stop twisting.
And more of the same—we never use pine rails because they tend to bow and twist over time.
This is how we do a fence: We only use steel posts and 100 x 38 treated hardwood rails.
We make our own gates with heavy-duty ball-bearing hinges for a perfect, long-lasting finish.
